ASMC Award Winners

It is with great pleasure that we recognize the following individuals who have made a difference in the success of the Autism Society and in the lives of our children and adults with autism.

Starbuck’s – Making a Difference
This award acknowledges a business who has been willing to collaboratively work with us on a project, sponsored an individual with autism in the workforce, shown a willingness to make their establishment autism accessible, or donated their time, services, products, etc…

Nancy Schulz – Hope Award
For the individual whose generosity has further the cause for autism and the society in the community. The nature of the efforts can be anything from personal time and efforts, monetary gifts, community awareness, or volunteerism.

Jane Highland – Gold Star Award
For a member of the society who has made a direct impact on the organization, in the lives of the families and individuals affected by autism, or through personal triumphs in their own lives.

Lisa Bova – Pursuit of Excellence
This award acknowledges and recognizes a teacher or other professional who has directly impacted our individuals with autism, whether it be through their dedication to enhance the future of all individuals with autism, direct teaching of an individual, training of others on techniques, volunteering their time to further the educational efforts, commitment to furthering their own knowledge or involvement in collaborating on projects related to autism.

Josh Parton – Wings
This award is reserved for young people who are helping our children with autism soar. They have shown outstanding activism and or commitment to and for their peers with autism. The nominee of this award has shown exceptional leadership skills and understanding through involvement and support on an ongoing basis. The nominee can be anyone who has shown true friendship, acceptance, shows respect, helps, cares for, campaigns for and encourages other to follow their lead. The youth award is one of our newest and most valuable awards!

Michael Mace – Spirit Award
Outstanding Sibling award is given to our children who go above and beyond to help their siblings with autism. This award is for our youth who because of their unconditional love, loyalty, and Spirit are our true role models of what a person should be and how a sibling and friend should act.
