Thanks to the generosity of Easter Seals we have an office located within the Easter Seals building. The office is on the 2nd floor directly across from the McLean County Resource Center. The center houses a lending library, computers with internet access, programs to develop picture schedules and icons, samples of home teaching tools, and more.
The development of the Resource Center is part of the Community Planning meetings that have been held to identify what resources and supports are still needed to fully support individuals with autism locally. The community planning has been an ongoing effort of Parents and community providers, including; Easter Seals, The Baby Fold/Hammitt, The Marc Center, ISU, IWU, Unit 5 Schools, The Autism Program, and others.
We will continue to hold community meetings and hope you will join us in our efforts to make McLean County a model for autism services and support.
