Save the date for 13,500 feet of Fundraising at 120 MPH!
Is skydiving one of the items on your bucket list of things to try in your life time? The Autism Society of McLean County in Bloomington, IL is hosting their first skydiving event, and everyone is welcome to attend. The event will take place at Skydive Chicago in Ottawa, IL. You can choose to keep your feet on the ground and enjoy watching the view of the jumpers coming in from their dives or take this opportunity to actually jump tandem or static (solo)!
Register to jump tandem or static now as registration closes April 7. No exceptions! Registration is limited to the first 120 who register. Your tandem jump will be done with a certified instructor after first partaking in a short instructional class. The folks at Skydive Chicago are great about taking care of their jumpers from start to finish. You will be able to experience a tandem or static jump as well as receive an event T-shirt and lunch. Your jump includes:

One hour instructional class, learning basic freefall and canopy skills

One Jump harnessed with a professional Tandem Jumpmaster

Approximately one minute of freefall from 13,500 feet!

A peaceful 5-7 minute canopy descent from 5,500 feet

A First Jump Certificate, Logbook and Discount Coupons

An option to have your jump videotaped at an additional cost.
Costs are as follows:
- Jumpers - $250
- Students - $175
- Non-jumpers (fundraising supporters) can register for a Drop Zone t-shirt and lunch for $25
- Guests are free (but will need to register with a jumper) and can pay for lunch if interested.
A $50 non refundable deposit will be required by all jumpers at the time of registration to secure a spot.
Avanti's will be providing lunch and a 50/50 raffle will also be available at the jump site.
In the event of a rainout, the skydive will be moved to Saturday, May 7th, 2011.
