Celebrate with SNAP

The Special Needs Advisory Panel (SNAP) of McLean County is pleased to announce that after a number of years in development, the McLean County Special Needs Registration Form is ready for release.
 
You’re invited to a celebratory luncheon at NOON Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Bloomington Public Library Community Room. There will be a short presentation regarding the registration form and plans for the future. The form, with an introductory letter from the McLean County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and a “FAQ” sheet, will be available at the luncheon.

PARKING: You may park in the Bloomington Public Library parking lot. There is a potential overflow lot that will be available, depending on the number of attendees. Those who accept the invitation will be notified by email if the overflow lot will be used. There is always parking on the street, if spots are available.

SNAP of McLean County began as a grant funded program of the McLean County Health Department in 2005. The goal of the program is to assist McLean County in assuring that special needs issues are addressed in all levels of emergency planning. Many groups have participated in SNAP over the years, including: Show Bus, American Red Cross of the Heartland, OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Advocate-BroMenn Medical Center, PATH, McLean County EMA, East Central IL Area Agency on Aging, Marcfirst, and Peace Meals.
