Autism Camp (Camp Takoda) and Autism Sibling Camp (Camp Pathfinder)
Camp Takoda is dedicated to providing a valuable experience for children on the autism spectrum in a natural outdoor setting on Lake Bloomington. Children have the opportunity to engage in typical camp activities, including, canoeing, swimming, horseback riding, games, and much more in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Junior Counselors will be an important part of this year’s camp. The Counselors will receive training on interacting with campers, facilitating communication and positive encouragement. Junior counselors are carefully screened to ensure that they have what it takes to provide natural peer support throughout camp. At camp Takoda we have a high counselor-to-camper ratio to ensure that all campers are safe and positively encouraged to participate in each activity offered.

Camp Pathfinder is geared specifically to siblings of people living with Autism. The camp will be at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center (TPOC) and run in parallel with our Takoda Day Camp.
The goal of this camp is to provide opportunities for our siblings to experience the majesty of TPOC and be recognized for their care and support of their siblings. Having a sibling with a special needs creates a unique relationship.
