Are You Ready for Flag Football?

ASMC is ready for another season of our Annual Football Camp! We have been working hard on Social Stories and Homework for all of the kids who will attend. You can download everything from here as many times as you would like. We tried to cover all of the bases...but if you see something we have left out or should include, please let us know.

Pretty soon, the air will cool off, the leaves will change, the kids will go back to school and you’ll start thinking.. ALMOST TIME FOR FOOTBALL! When Joey was born, I bought him a kid size football for the crib, and he and I would watch sports on TV hoping that he would learn to enjoy them. He loves baseball (the batting part at least), so of course I’m thinking why not flag football?

The idea of organized sports seemed impossible, but at least we had catch, right? Special kids don’t have the same opportunities as “normal” kids. That’s just the way it is, right?

What kid doesn’t like to play tag, to run, be chased and play? I know our kids do. With our flag football camp, our kids will get the chance to play!

August 24th - October 5th 6:00-7:30pm
KINGSLEY JHS Football Field.
Park on the north side of the school

Member Fee: $25.00
Non-Member Fee: $30.00

Registration Fee includes uniform for participant.  Volunteer coaches receive a free t-shirt.  Additional t-shirts are $10 each.  Additional jerseys are $25 each.

About the program:
This is a non-contact camp that focuses on life skill development of teamwork, physical fitness, turn taking, following directions, social skills and fun.  This camp is open to any kid who wants to be there. As long as they want to play, they are welcome to join us.

Our mission statement is simple: Provide our kids the same experience as any other kids who plays a sport. This means of course uniforms, practice, frustration, achievement, dirt, daydreaming, running, sharing, communicating, bonding, teamwork, turn taking, following directions and friendship.

Parents can help coach (which really means play, and share the experience because coaching sounds hard)
