“HOME” Movie Day – A Sensory Friendly Showing

AM is partnering with Wehrenberg Galaxy 14 to present a sensory friendly showing of "HOME" on March 28th. The lights are brought up and sound is turned down. It’s OK if people need to get up and move around or talk.

The movie starts at 11:00 AM, but please be there by 10:30 AM.

All families who have a child with special needs welcome.

There is no cost for AM members. Non-member adults are $7 for and $6 for children (ages 2-11), with 12% off concessions. If you are not an AM member, please view the benefits of being a member and consider joining us. 2015 Dodgeball Tournament

Dodgeball Tournament

  • February 27 from 6-9 PM @ Kingsley Jr. High, 303 Kingsley St, Normal, IL 61761.
  • 8-Person Teams
  • $160 per team.
  • Payments are due in full by Feb. 13th for t-shirts. Payments made after the 6th will not receive shirts. Payments must be made by Feb. 20th to be guaranteed a slot in the tournament.
  • Payments can be made via PayPal or check.
  • The payment screen will appear after submitting this form.
  • Each team member must sign a waiver! Please download and sign the attached waiver and bring it to the tournament.

Autism McLean Winter Bowling Camp:

  • When: Saturdays, 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 1/3, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31 from 11:00a – 12:00p
  • Where: Pheasant Lanes, 804 N. Hershey Road, Bloomington, IL, 61704
  • Regisration fee: All child league fees will be covered by Autism McLean. If parents would like to bowl on a team with their kid(s), they will need to pay $25 for the 8 week season.

About the program:

Bowling is open to anyone who wants to be there. As long as they want to bowl, they are welcome to join us. Our mission statement is simple: provide our kids the same experience as any other kid who bowls. This means, of course, practice, frustration, achievement, sharing, communicating, bonding, turn taking, following directions and friendship.

Teen Movie Night

For teens who would like a night out without their parents! Must be able to attend without the need for 1 on 1. SSID volunteers will be there to hang out with the teens! Bring money for your ticket and snacks!

Wings and Prayers Ministry

Wings and Prayers Ministry

Wings & Prayers Ministry is a differently-abled ecumenical worship service for those with developmental disabilities and their families.

Services are held every 3rd Sunday from 3:00pm – 3:45pm (fellowship time to follow) at Crossroads Chapel, 1049 JC Parkway, Bloomington.

Volunteers are cherished and much needed.

Crossroads Chapel is located in the strip mall near Wal-Mart and Fiesta Ranchero Restaurant on the west side of Bloomington. Take Market Street west over the interstate and turn right onto JC Parkway. JC Parkway is just past Wylie Drive. If you get to the entrance of the Interstate Center, you have gone too far.

The ASMC Holiday Party and Annual Meeting will be held at the Children’s Discovery Museum on Sunday, November 30th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm.

Bring the whole family! Pizza and beverages will be provided – please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Santa and Elves will stop by to listen to Christmas wishes and pass out treats.
