Autism McLean is setting up the pins for another season of our annual bowling camp!
 
Autism McLean Winter Bowling Camp:

  • When: Saturdays, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 12/23, 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Where: Pheasant Lanes, 804 N. Hershey Road, Bloomington, IL, 61704
  • Regisration fee: All member children camp fees will be covered by Autism McLean. Non-member children camp fees are $30. If adults would like to bowl on a team with their kid(s), they will need to pay $30 for the 10-week season.

About the program:

Bowling is open to anyone who wants to be there. As long as they want to bowl, they are welcome to join us. Our mission statement is simple: provide our kids the same experience as any other kid who bowls. This means, of course, practice, frustration, achievement, sharing, communicating, bonding, turn taking, following directions and friendship.

Trick or Treating Event for Children with Autism and Special Needs

Bring all of your special trick-or-treators out to the Courtyard for a night of family fun. We will have at least 20 rooms throughout the hotel designated for this event. So that all children can participate, our treats will be mostly non-food items with a few exceptions of some allergy friendly candy.

This is open event for all children with special needs. Feel free to invite any of your friends who would benefit from this event.

8th Annual BNYP/Autism McLean Garage Sale Fundraiser for Autism Camp

The Bloomington-Normal Young Professional Kiwanis Club will be hosting the 8th annual Autism McLean Garage Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, October 14, 2017. All proceeds from the garage sale will be given to Autism McLean for Autism Camp. Here are the details:

2017 Autism McLean’s “Rocking Autism” Walk and Kids Fun Run

Register today for the "Rocking Autism"  Walk & Kids Fun Run. Our event will be at Tipton Park on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

  • Event festivities will begin at 9:00 AM
  • The Kids Fun Run will start at 10:30 AM
  • The 1 Mile Walk will start at 11:00 AM

We hope to see you out at Tipton! All proceeds benefit our local community and families that are impacted by autism. Please consider joining the event and also helping us fundraise to better serve our community.

Chuck E. Cheese's is proud to support families who have children with autism and special needs. They now offer a sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month. The trained and caring staff is there to make sure each guest has a fun filled visit. 

The Sensory Sensitive Sundays experience includes: 

1. Less crowding and noise

2. Dimmed lighting

3. Show and music turned off or down

4. Limited appearances by Chuck E. 

5. Food and games are offered

University of Illinois Wheelchair Basketball Teams vs. Be Strong Coaches and Members

Members of the University of Illinois men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball teams will compete on Saturday, April 8, 2017 against Be Strong. Be Strong is a functional training gym located in Normal, and they have agreed to have a team of ten to fifteen individuals represent LIFE CIL as our home team for the 2017 event.

Doors open and activity starts at 10:00 AM with the game starting at 11:00 AM.

The University of Illinois Wheelchair Basketball Teams have continued to support LIFE CIL and have continually agreed to help make this event possible.
